WSSC STREET REPAIRS IDIQ

Overview

  • Location: Various Locations, PG County, MD

  • Client: Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Project Description

WSSC Street Repairs IDIQ project provides paving and restoration services following a water or sewer main replacement or repair. Work includes restoring streets, concrete roadways, driveways, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. Fort Myer along with its subcontractor installed approximately 371,000 tons of asphalt over 3.5 years.

Fort Myer, along with our subcontractors, were very efficient in completing the work orders on time and paying close attention to the detailed specifications of each job. Our certified Flaggers and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) ensured minimal disruption to residents and a high level of safety on each job site. We made sure to notify residents of all work FMCC or its subcontractors were performing in the area.

Project Significance

This project is part of the WSSC initiative to repair and replace aging infrastructure and meet future water supply demands of Montgomery and Prince George County residents.

WSSC General Manager and CEO Carla A. Reid stated: “It is vital to WSSC’s mission that we repair and replace our aging pipes and install new infrastructure to meet the growing needs of our customers. Equally important to local residents is our ability to quickly restore neighborhood streets and sidewalks following our work. The approval of these three contracts accomplishes these goals.”
