Building on our History of Preserving the Nation’s Monuments and Memorials

FMCC Crew Completing Sidewalk Replacement Work for the National Park Service

Throughout the past 50 years, Fort Myer Construction has been proud to do construction work on some of the nation’s most cherished monuments and memorials. This honor continues with our ongoing National Park Service project, completing sidewalk replacement work.

The work includes replacing sidewalks in Washington Circle alongside the President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorials. These upgrades improve the monuments' aesthetics and provide critical safety improvements for visitors.

“The project has progressed smoothly,” explains Project Executive Alan Boblane, MBA. “The owners are delighted with the quality of the work and the final product.”

The project began earlier this year and is expected to be completed by September.

Working on this project has been a “profound and humbling experience,” according to Boblane. “It instills a deep sense of pride and responsibility, knowing that our work contributes to preserving and enhancing these significant historical and cultural landmarks.”
