Founded in 1972, the company has grown with hundreds of full time employees. Fort Myer has constructed, repaired and maintained hundreds of miles of streets, roads, bridges and underground utilities in the DC area. In recent years, FMCC has expanded its capabilities to include an Electrical Division providing streetlight and traffic signal construction and rehabilitations service.

Undeniable financial strength allows Fort Myer to work without interruption on high-dollar projects. It owns and operates Asphalt plants [only Asphalt producer in D.C. area], offering customers definite cost and scheduling advantages.

In support of construction operations, FMCC owns and operates a fleet of equipment. It includes more than 260 trucks, including 45 tandem dump trucks, and various types of heavy equipment.
